William Maytook is a French composer, conductor, orchestrator and pianist. He mainly composes film scores, especially for animated films, but also composes for video games, events or books. Next to that, he is also a concert pieces’s composer, with many classical works to his credit for various ensembles.

He entered the conservatory in 2012, where he studied the instrumental practice of drums and piano, lyrical singing, classical writing, orchestration, conducting and engraving. In addition to his conservatory degrees, he began in 2017 at the same time university studies in musicology in which he holds a degree, and learned the history of music, analysis, research and teaching. He then continued his studies and obtained a master’s degree in film music composition in 2022, deepening his knowledge of film music’s history, mixing, and continuing to develop the aforementioned areas. He is now currently working on a PhD thesis that will focus on thematic elements in music and film music.
